In October 2020 we launched Harriet’s Troop: Into the Diaspora. The program was in partnership with Institut Diversity Equity Inclusion (IDEI) in Haiti, the program had 51 participants from both the U.S. and Haiti to build community and share experiences with Black Feminisms from a transnational lens. Each participant had an overseas partner, who worked to create a final project that explores how we understand and apply Black feminisms in our own borders and beyond.
