Some of Us Are Brave: A Black Feminist Organizing School for Organizers

Some Of Us Are Brave(SOUAB), the flagship organizing school of Black Feminist Future, teaches and trains Black organizers and activists in key concepts, terminology, ideologies, and skills in Black feminist theory and practice. Through lectures, discussion, and interactive workshops, we support movement makers in deepening their understanding and practice of Black feminisms to build intersectional, powerful, and successful movements.

Canon: Theorizing and Resisting in Black Feminisms Organizing School

Canon: Theorizing and Resisting in Black Feminisms is Black Feminist Future’s advanced offering in The Black Feminist Schools program. As a Black feminist innovation and movement hub, Black Feminist Future created Canon to provide an advanced, rigorous leadership development and movement space for Black feminists organizers, strategist, and thought leaders to both engage with 21st century Black feminist canonical thought, and connect Black feminist across sectors, movements, and geographies.

Harriet’s Troop

Harriet’s Troop is an online weekly summer program created to guide young Black peoples’ introduction and exploration into Black feminisms through a series of creative lessons, readings, activities, movie watch parties, and other interactions.

At the end of the day, freedom is being in control of our own bodies. Abortion bans are meant to control us, period. We need these anti-abortion politicians to mind their business and stay out of our bodies.

Black Womxn Are Essential

The experiences of Black women, girls, and gender-expansive people are often forgotten or erased. In 2020, BFF launched Black Womxn Are Essential to circumvent this erasure by clocking the racial and gender impact of COVID on this community through a collection of data, observation, and shared understanding. The ultimate goal of collecting this data is to use this resource to inform our collective work and help us move in a more impactful manner to serve our communities.
