Are you a new or long-time Black feminist leader or activist?
Do you want to defeat misogynoir and advance Black feminisms? Are you looking for a community of Black people who are interested in liberation to learn and grow with? If so, our community of Black feminist leaders is the hub for you. Black Feminist Future (BFF) is a member centered organization and our members help inform our work, campaigns and initiatives. At BFF, we’re centering leadership development, community care, and joy in order to build the political and social power that we need to win concrete changes in our lives, community, and beyond.
Being a member of Black Feminist Future is an opportunity to practice our politics and build something powerful together. And who doesn’t want to defeat misogynoir and advance Black feminisms?
To be a member of BFF, you must be a Black woman, girl, or gender-expansive person. Black Feminist Future recognizes that we don’t have an all-encompassing definition for gender-expansive since gender is a dynamic and ever-changing experience. This space is intended for those who experience life and violence at the nexus of gender and Blackness. Those who walk through the world marginalized. Our members meet to engage in changing that world through the lens of Black feminisms.
“It is our duty to fight for our freedom. It is our duty to win. We must love each other and support each other. We have nothing to lose but our chains.”
—ASSATA SHAKUR

Training and
Skill Building
We equip our members with necessary organizing and leadership tools, analysis, skills, training, and a community of Black feminists to take action in their daily lives, local communities, and on the national level. Black Feminist Future curates liberation-centered materials and spaces exclusively for BFF members. These offerings help our members develop the necessary skills, analysis, and practice to imagine Black feminist solutions and set Black feminist agendas.
BFF Hives
Community building is crucial to fostering a strong and powerful membership. Building together towards a shared vision is a transformative practice that is necessary to win! The BFF team will support the creation of intentional space to build community together.
One of the ways we build power is through our Membership HIVES.
HIVES are designated clusters of members who collaborate to take action on specific issues, host trainings, or hold community building events together. You can join the HIVE that most aligns with your interests. BFF HIVES remain dynamic and will shift to reflect the diverse interests of our members as we continue to grow.
Constellation Hive
BFF’s first membership base focused on connecting Repro thinkers and leadership power to innovative spaces for the sake of Reproductive Freedom led by a Black feminist lens.
Political Campaigns Hive

Collective Care Hive
